The Service Care Plan to Assist at Home

After we receive your message on our contact page or initial phone call, we schedule an initial meeting to develop a custom service care plan. This plan is tailored to your loved one's specific needs. We make detailed recommendations on exactly what kind of services we feel would benefit your loved one at home. We call the meeting a need assessment visit.

Live-in Care

Is for seniors who need around the clock care and assistance from a caregiver.

Live-in assistance is generally non-medical and includes such tasks as daily meal prep, medication management, shopping, errand running and assistance with activities of daily living (ADL). The client provides the caregiver’s food in some cases and a place to sleep.

24hr. live-in care costs on average $245.50 - $255.50 per day in Philadelphia County, Delaware County and surrounding areas, compared to nursing home care which is a whopping $380 - $480 or more daily rate per bed, in which your loved one is checked every 2 hour per shift, verses In-home live-in care by a caregiver in the clients home giving one on one care, and assistance, which is the better choice for most clients.

Daily Hourly Care

Hourly care on a personal scale is one of our most important duties.

We can help with simple tasks like getting dressed meal prep, more difficult actions like bathing, or even total assistance with all personal care requirements.

Caregivers are oriented to your specific needs and the flat hourly rate does not go up based on the amount of personal care our clients require.

Duties include bathing (using bath, shower, or bed bath), oral hygiene, dressing, incontinence, mobility, following exercise regimen, or any other personal care need.

Caregivers are oriented to your specific needs, so you always have someone who is trained in the task you require.

Respite Care Visits

Is planned or an emergency temporary care service provided to family caregivers.

Respite care visits are also a family support service. Caregivers can visit for a few hours a day or several times per week to provide family caregivers with the opportunity to run errands, go to work, take a vacation, or simply rest and recharge.

Respite care should be regarded as an opportunity to strengthen yourself and provide your loved one with more opportunities for enrichment and engagement.

Respite care also makes you a better family caregiver. It gives you the opportunity to refresh without worry or anxiety knowing your loved one is safe, secure and satisfied. Respite care can be provided while you take time to tend to your needs.

Caregiver Matching

Once you approve the custom care plan, we begin our search for the most appropriate caregiver to implement care. We have over 175+ registered caregivers on call, ready to serve. We are certain to assign a fine match for your particular need.

The Matching Process

Our system of matching caregivers to clients takes numerous factors into consideration: services needed, your loved one's interests and the personalities of both your loved one and the caregiver.

Continuity Process

After an evaluation of the entire process, we're better able to provide your loved one with the best caregiver possible. Of course, if there are ever any concerns about a specific caregiver, we can search for and provide a replacement in very little time. The continuity of care and support will continue until we have scheduled a perfect match.

Caregiver Supervision

Our caregivers keep extensive notes about the care they provide. Those notes are kept at your loved one's home and are available at any time. Our billing system also provides a detailed description of services and care, so you never receive an invoice that doesn't include a line-item cost of care. And our office managers make regular unannounced visits to the homes to ensure caregivers are following the specifics of the custom care plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Basic information and knowledge base some of our clients and prospects frequently need a quick answer to.

Q: In what areas are your services available?

A: Our company is expanding rapidly, and we are opening locations throughout the United States in the near future but right now we are currently servicing Philadelphia County, Delaware County and Montgomery County and surrounding areas.

Q: Who needs in-home care?

A: People who need additional help with their daily living activities and want to stay at home rather than be institutionalized or live with relatives. In other cases, it could be people whose family caregiver needs respite or time off from their care giving responsibilities.

Q: How much does the service cost?

A: We bill on an hourly basis most of the time. The hours required to properly care for your loved one will be determined on the initial assessment interview and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Please contact us regarding our service rates and to learn more about our pricing for private duty eldercare services.

Q: Are your services covered by Medicare?

A: Unfortunately not. Medicare only covers acute skilled care, usually after a hospital stay. We can work in conjunction with your Medicare provider to ensure your loved one is receiving the appropriate amount of care.

Q: How does in-home care cost compare to assisted-living or nursing homes?

A: Most of the time, our services will cost less than those of assisted-living facilities or nursing homes. We can tailor a schedule specifically to meet the needs of our clients – so you are only paying for what you need.

Q: Is your agency licensed?

A: Each one of our locations operates under the requirements of the law and is appropriately licensed based on local regulations.

Q: How do you select your caregivers?

A: All of our caregivers are carefully interviewed and screened prior to becoming employees and general contractors of Advanced Elderly Services. Please see our Caregiver page for more detailed information.
